Austin Film Society to honor 3 Texans

AUSTIN -- Actor Barry Corbin, musician Meat Loaf and filmmaker Douglas McGrath will be honored at the 12th annual Texas Film Hall of Fame awards.

The Austin Film Society on Tuesday announced the honorees for the March 8 event.

Corbin, who's from Lamesa, has appeared in movies including No Country for Old Men and Urban Cowboy. Corbin drew an Emmy nomination for TV's Northern Exposure.

Meat Loaf, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, is a Dallas native who has drawn fame as a Grammy award-winning rock 'n' roll star, selling more than 43 million albums. He also appeared in films such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fight Club.

McGrath, who's from Midland, was nominated for an Academy Award for his Bullets Over Broadway screenplay.
