A 74-year-old Round Rock man died in Navasota while making a U-turn on North Business 6.
Navasota police said Lee Morozink was driving a 1994 Ford Aerostar van south in the southbound lane at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he pulled onto the shoulder near Emerald Drive. After another vehicle passed Morozink traveling south, he began to make a U-turn, police said.
Stacey Becker, 33, of Anderson, also was traveling south, was not able to stop in time and hit Morozink’s vehicle as he attempted to make the turn, police said.
Police said no charges are expected to be filed. The speed limit is 60 mph on that road.
Morozink died at the scene, police said.
