Barnes-Dickson

    Brooke Elizabeth Barnes and Ben Cranstoun Dickson were united in marriage on September 30, 2011 at The Stone Mill in the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx New York. The ceremony was officiated by Marie April Gismondi.
    Parents of the bride are Bill and Martie Barnes of College Station, Texas.  Grandparents of the bride are Roy and Ruth Tegeder of Bryan, Texas and the late Bill and Laverne Barnes of Henderson, Nevada.
    Parents of the groom are Graham and Bendegul Dickson of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  Grandparents of the groom are the late Leslie and Florence Dickson of Birkenhead, England and the late Ismail and Nebahat Arman of Trabzon, Turkey.
    Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her lifelong best friend, Natasha John of Gainesville, Florida as maid of honor, and bridesmaid Emma Dickson, sister of the groom, of Yukon Territory, Canada.
    The best man was Vladimir Kleyman of New York.  Other groomsmen were Derek Barnes, brother of the bride, of Dallas, Texas and Ariel Simon of Washington D.C.
    On the eve of the wedding the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal at The Artisanal Restaurant in Manhattan.
    Following the ceremony a cocktail reception, dinner and dance were held at The Stone Mill in the New York Botanical Garden. 
    Brooke is a 1999 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas.  She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 and Columbia Law School in New York in 2006.   Ben is a 1998 graduate of Collingwood School in West Vancouver, British Columbia, a 2002 graduate of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a 2006 graduate of Columbia Law School in New York City.
    The couple currently practice law and reside in Seattle.
