A College Station couple who bragged on Facebook about damaging a vehicle belonging to the woman's ex-boyfriend was arrested on Valentine's Day, police said.

The pair, Gina Noel Wilfong, 21, and Joseph Woods Smith, 20, were charged with criminal mischief involving more than $1,500 in damages, a state jail felony punishable by two years in prison.

Bryan police said they responded to the 2800 block of Oakside Drive at about 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, where a witness told police she saw a female throw a rock at a Jeep Wrangler and break its window. The vehicle's owner believed the description of the suspect sounded like his ex-girlfriend, police said.

Two days later, officers were called to the same location for another criminal mischief report. The vehicle's owner reported he heard a loud sound and stepped outside to see Wilfong, 21, leaving the area in a car. The man then noticed that his Jeep's back window was broken, a seat cover was torn and the paint had been chipped, police said.

The man told police Wilfong and Smith were in a relationship and had bragged about damaging his Jeep on Facebook.

The couple damaged the Jeep owner's vehicle again on Feb. 13, police said.

Police located the Facebook conversation between Wilfong and Smith on the social media site, in which Wilfong, who also goes by the name Lily Anderson, wrote that she was angry that her ex-boyfriend talked bad about her online so she smashed the glass on his new Jeep. Smith replied to her post that "breaking glass is an awesome stress reliever," according to police reports.

Wilfong told police she'd been forced to marry her ex-boyfriend and they'd just divorced, according to police reports. Police said the Jeep's owner got a divorce in October, but not from Wilfong. The man told police he dated Wilfong for two weeks before kicking her out of his house.

The Jeep had more than $1,700 worth of damage, police said. Wilfong and Smith remained in the Brazos County Jail on Wednesday, each without bail.
