Mr. and Mrs. Terry Stanley Fields of Midland, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Allison Fields, to Joseph Ryan "Chip" Fowler, both of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Fowler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steve Fowler of Plano, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Dwight William Andres of Midland, Texas, formerly of Bryan- College Station, Texas, the late Hanese Coleman Fields of Big Spring, Texas, and the late Ted Rosco Fields of Arlington, Texas.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Lymuel Gowen of Dallas, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Madison Fowler, Jr. of Daingerfield, Texas.

Miss Fields is a 2005 graduate of Midland High School in Midland, Texas, and graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She is a Phi Beta Kappa and Chi Omega alumna. Miss Fields is currently in her fourth year at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Allison will graduate with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May 2013.

Mr. Fowler is a 2005 graduate of St. Mark's School of Texas in Dallas, Texas, and graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He also received his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in May 2012, where he was a member of the International Law Review Association. Chip will join the Law Office of Robert D. Lybrand, P.C. in Coppell, Texas.

Wedding bells will ring for the couple in June 2013 in Dallas, Texas.
