A vigorous upper level trough of low pressure is currently located over Nevada. This storm system will be slowly approaching Texas throughout the next few days.

Out ahead of this system, strong southerly winds are helping to increase temperatures and humidity across Texas. As a cold front begins to approach the area on Wednesday, scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will likely develop.

Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are likely across the Brazos Valley. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible if the storm system takes a slightly more southerly track than currently indicated by the computer models. Dry conditions should return by Thursday evening, so the weather for trick-or-treaters looks good.

Mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures are in the forecast for the upcoming weekend. Also, don’t forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday night!
