The A&M Consolidated boys powerlifting team won a tri-meet against Madisonville and Waco Robinson at Tiger Gym on Thursday night with the Lady Tigers finishing second.

Consol’s Lorenzo Onate (132 pounds), Chase Gibson (148), Cory Price (165), Caleb Garner (198), Devarion Guyton (220) and Josh Ellison (super heavyweight) won their classes with Gibson earning best lifter on lightweight platforms and Guyton tops on heavyweight platforms. Consol’s Santos Moya (123), Truman Jasperson (148), Will Harris (198), Matthew O’Neil (220) and Vince Sheffield (242) placed second.

On the girls side, Consol’s Tatiana Woods (132), Molly Pfiefer (165) and JaKayla Gooden (181) won their classes with Woods the best lifter on lightweight platforms and Gooden best on heavyweight platforms.

Consol’s JV boys also won.

Consol will compete at Bryan at 9 a.m. Jan. 20.
