Dallas-based restaurant chain Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar has partnered with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to raise almost $2,000.
The foundation is the largest advocate for diabetes sciences worldwide, officials said.
The collaboration is a effort to support the organizations' efforts in funding research to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes and its complications. The Boston's in College Station raised $1,916 through its Valentine's promotion.
"Working with charitable organizations is a cornerstone of Boston's, and it provides an opportunity for our local franchisees to engage, serve, and give back to their local communities," said Boston's Chief Operating Officer Mike Best in a statement. "We are proud of our continued partnership with JDRF, and are committed to raising awareness and funding for type 1 diabetes."
The total amount donated to the foundation from all Boston's locations contributions in the United States was more than $100,000.
