Messina Hof Winery and Resort is hosting its monthly cooking party Dec. 17.
Company officials said guests will build their own French chateaus out of homemade gingerbread and enjoy appetizers paired with Messina Hof wines. The menu will include Shrimp Diablo, Boucheese goat cheese and roasted peppers, bacon-wrapped scallops, truffles and more.
All guests will receive a tote bag filled with seasonal goodies and a recipe booklet. Guests will also be able to register to win door prizes. The class is tailored to novice cooks and expert chefs alike. Guests learn an array of useful tips, tricks, recipes and techniques from Messina Hof's resident chefs. Lessons typically include specific information regarding spices, temperatures, tools and cuts of meat.
The event will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Vintage House Restaurant, 4545 Old Reliance Road in Bryan. The class is $69.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
