Rig Watch for June 22

Brazos County

Apache Corp. of Houston has filed for permits to horizontally drill two wells in the Giddings (Eagleford) field. Both the No. E1, which has a proposed depth of 12,795 feet, and the No. E2, with a proposed depth of 14,000 feet, will be 6 miles northwest of Navasota in the L.C. Smith Survey A-211.

Apache Corp. has filed for a permit to drill the No. 1 Reser-Sanders Unit, a wildcat with a proposed depth of 13,000 feet. The well will be 11 miles southeast of College Station in the James Gray Survey A-250.

Leon County

Encana Oil and Gas of Dallas has filed for a permit to drill the No. 1 Little 4 Ranch to a depth of 19,500 feet in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) field 4.3 miles southwest of Wealthy in the J.M. Viesca Survey A-30.

XTO Energy of Tyler has filed for a permit to drill the No. 1 Johns Gas Unit in the Bear Grass field. With a proposed depth of 17,500 feet, the well will be 2 miles southwest of Marquez in the M. De La Concepcion Marquez Survey A-12.

Forest Oil of Denver has filed for a permit to drill an 11,500 foot well in the Jewett field. The No. 5 Ike Watson GU No. 1 will be 1.38 miles southeast of Jewett in the T.B. Martin Survey A-637.

Robertson County

Encana Oil and Gas (USA) of Dallas has filed for permits to drill four wells in the John Amoruso (Bossier) field. With proposed depths of 19,000 feet, the No. 2 S. McLean G will be 9.6 miles northeast of Franklin in the J.M. Viesca Survey A-46 and the No. 4 McLean-Martin will be 11 miles northeast of Franklin in the P. Pereira/J&M Grande Survey A-32. The No. 5 Laxson and the No. 3 R.L. Dodds Jr., B, both with proposed depths of 20,000 feet, will be 9.1 and 7 miles northeast of Franklin in the M. Grande Survey A-32 and the P. Pereira/J&M Grande Survey A-32.

Encana has also filed for permits to drill three 16,000-foot wells in the Bald Prairie field. The No. 2 Reeves Gas Unit will be 0.6 miles northwest of Franklin in the F. Slauter Survey A-335; the 11 Law Unit will be 5 miles northeast of Franklin in the R.K. Goodloe Survey A-156; and the No. 1 Hanhart Gas Unit will be 6.3 miles northeast of Franklin in the P. Pereira/J&M Grande Survey A-32.

Encana has filed for permits to drill two wells in the Bald Prairie field. The No. 3 Sybil Marshall Unit, with a proposed depth of 15,000 feet, will be 4.3 miles northeast of Franklin in the W.F. Gray Survey A-157. The No. 1 Bonnie Hill et al., which has a proposed depth of 17,000 feet, will be 0.7 miles northeast of Owensville in the D.H. Love Survey A-212.

Encana has filed for a permit to drill a 19,000-foot wildcat well. The No. 3 Travis Morgan will be 4.4 miles southeast of Franklin in the S.H. Eaton Survey A-10.

From Sunday 6.22.08 - This would be in Madison County. Should Wealthy read Hilltop Lakes? Leon County Encana Oil and Gas of Dallas has filed for a permit to drill the No. 1 Little 4 Ranch to a depth of 19,500 feet in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) field 4.3 miles southwest of Wealthy in the J.M. Viesca Survey A-30.
