Brazos County

Crawford Energy Operating of Houston has filed for a permit to drill a 12,300-foot well in the Giddings (Austin Chalk, Gas) field. The No. 4 M.P. Walker will be 3 miles north of Millican in the A.D. Houston Survey A-133.

Burleson County

Apache Corp. of Houston has filed for a permit to drill a horizontal wildcat well. The No. 6 Reveille, with a proposed depth of 10,000 feet, will be 3.3 miles northwest of Caldwell in the John P. Coles Survey A-12.

Leon County

Marathon Oil of Houston has filed for a permit to drill a directional well in the Kenwood (Cotton Valley Lime) field. With a proposed depth of 17,000 feet, the No. 3 Nash will be 9.5 miles west of Jewett in the M. De La Concepcion Marquez Survey A-12.

XTO Energy of Tyler has filed for a permit to drill two wells in the Bear Grass field. The No. 35 Gail King, which has a proposed depth of 15,500 feet, will be 6.6 miles northwest of Jewett in the Manuel C. Rejon Survey A-19. The No. 3 Starrett Branch Gas Unit, with a proposed depth of 17,000 feet, will be drilled 5.3 miles southwest of Jewett in the John Meyers Survey A-542.

Ensight III Energy Management of Shreveport, La., has filed a permit to drill the No. 1 Milton Golie Gas Unit No. 1 (API# 42-289-31735), a wildcat with a proposed depth of 11,100 feet. The well will be 4.1 miles southwest of Jewett in the J.A. Fryer Survey A-278.

Ensight has also filed for a permit to drill the No. 8 Clute Gas Unit No. 1, a wildcat with a proposed depth of 11,200 feet. The well will be one mile northeast of Jewett in the J.W. Tomlinson Survey A-863.

Milam County

Enteger USA, LLC, of Houston has filed for a permit to drill a 7,000-foot wildcat well. The No. 1 Jo Ann will be 10 miles south of Rockdale in the R. Ross Survey A-304.

Robertson County

XTO has also filed for permits to drill two wells in the Bald Prairie (CV Consolidated) field. The No. 1 Jackson Gas Unit, with a proposed depth of 13,525 feet, will be three miles northeast of Calvert in the G.W. Browning Survey A-63. The No. 1 Perry Gas Unit, which has a proposed depth of 13,425 feet, will be drilled 3.4 miles northeast of Calvert in the Henry Fullerton Survey A-14.

Eagle Oil and Gas of Wichita Falls has filed for a permit to drill a 13,000-foot well in the Bald Prairie (CV Consolidated) field. The No. 2 TXU North will be 8.5 miles southeast of Kosse in the Howard Thornton Survey A-353.

O'Benco Inc. of Shreveport has filed for a permit to drill the No. 1 Koehler Gas Unit to a depth of 12,800 feet in the Bald Prairie (CV Consolidated) field. The well will be 13.8 miles northwest of Franklin in the H. Campbell Survey A-120.

Rippy Oil Co. of Tyler has filed for a permit to drill a 19,000-foot wildcat well. The No. 1A Hurley will be 12.5 miles northeast of Franklin in the A. Hill Survey A-176.

Clayton Williams Energy of Midland has filed for a permit to drill a 6,900-foot horizontal well in the Giddings (Austin Chalk-3) field. The No. 1 Merka-Ferrara Unit will be 7.1 miles southwest of Hearne in the G.A. Nixon Survey A-31.

Encana Oil and Gas (USA) of Dallas has filed for permits to drill two wells in the Bald Prairie (CV Consolidated) field. The No. 2 Sybil Marshall Unit will be 4.4 miles northeast of Franklin in the W.F. Gray Survey A-157, and the No. 12 Glynda McBeth Unit will be 4.4 miles northwest of Franklin in the W.H. McGee Survey A-220.
