Fries recognized by financial round table
The Million Dollar Round Table, an association of financial professionals, recently recognized Fries Financial Services owner Denise Fries as a "top of the table" member.
The top of the table is a forum where association members are able to network and exchange ideas related to sales and productivity, according to the association's Web site.
Fries' Bryan-based business, a past winner of the Newman 10 Business Performance Award and the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce's Community Impact Award, has been in operation for 24 years.
Rockdale clinic now accepts S&W plans
Little River Medical Clinic in Rockdale is now accepting Scott & White Health Plan participants for routine gynecological care, officials said.
Drs. Daniel Dawson and David Doss travel from the Brazos Valley Women's Center in Bryan-College Station to see patients in Rockdale.
The physicians provide well-woman exams and procedures such as permanent sterilization, surgical treatment for incontinence and evaluation and treatment of abnormal Pap smears, said clinic spokeswoman Melissa Tackett.
Participants in Scott & White's plan are no longer required to have referrals from their primary care providers to schedule routine visits, Tackett said.
Tackett said the Little River Healthcare System also plans to offer prenatal services at the Rockdale clinic. Dawson and Doss would provide the services, and babies would be delivered in Bryan-College Station.

Texas 4-H honors Blue Bell for service
Texas 4-H recently honored Blue Bell Creameries of Brenham for outstanding service.
Blue Bell, one of Texas 4-H Congress' largest underwriters, has supported local county fairs for several years, according to the citation. The 4-H Congress provides leadership training to 4-H members who participate in mock legislative sessions each summer.
The company also developed a new flavor of ice cream, Centennial Cupcake, to honor Texas 4-H's 100th anniversary.
The organization praised Blue Bell President Paul Kruse for leading an effort last year to back the $100,000 Courageous Heart Scholarship Fund. The fund recognizes 4-H members who have persevered despite great personal obstacles, according to a written release.
Holze's creditors will provide contract info
Holze Music Co.'s seven creditors say they will soon provide the defunct retailer's customers with information about their instrument contracts.
"We realize it's important to communicate with customers as soon as possible, and all the creditors are cooperating to get this challenging task done," a spokeswoman for the creditors said.
Holze had more than 6,000 instrument rental contracts with customers across the state before the retailers' stores closed in early May.
Holze's creditors are Buffet Crampon Inc., Community Bank & Trust, Conn-Selmer Inc., GE Commercial Distribution Finance Corp., Gemeinhardt, Jupiter Music and Yamaha Corp.
The spokeswoman stated in a written release that she expected the letters, which will give customers specific instructions on how to proceed, to be sent in the next 30 days.
