Aggieland Credit Union has promoted Jason Goodman to associate vice president of member services.
Goodman has worked for Aggieland Credit Union and its parent, Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union, for almost 11 years. He previously served as bank manager of Greater TEXAS' Bastrop branch.
Tom Hanson, a Bryan Farmers Insurance agent, recently received recognition for outstanding sales achievements last year.
The company inducted Hanson into the Farmers' "Toppers Club" of top sales producers.
Several members of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants will represent the local organization at the state level this year.
Tracy Stewart is on the executive board and will be chairing the continuing professional education advisory board. Toni McBee is an at large member of the board of directors. Jim Ingram will chair the certified public accountant political action committee steering committee.
Joe Dunn will chair the public relations committee. Lyn Kuciemba will chair the career awareness committee, and Sandy Brown will serve as a state director.
UniFirst Corp. in College Station celebrated its company's Founders Day on July 11 and named Tino Herrera employee of the year.
"We selected Tino as the recipient of this distinguished award because of the unrelenting contributions he makes to UniFirst's success and his unwavering focus on customer satisfaction," Location Manager Billy Sims said.
Herrera received a special recognition gift, and UniFirst engraved his name on a plaque that will be on permanent display at the office.
UniFirst also honored the company's late founder, Aldo Croatti, who started UniFirst in 1936 in Boston.
Golbon, a food service marketing group, recently recognized Greg Court of Bryan-based Ruffino Meats & Service with its national sales excellence award.
Court has been Ruffino Meats' top salesperson for three years, according to the company. In 2007, Court's sales showed a 19 percent increase over the previous year's, as he opened 19 new accounts.
Richard Ruffino, president of Readfield Meats -- Ruffino Meats' corporate owner -- said Court's award represents the first time any of the Bryan company's employees have received national recognition from the food-buying group.
"We're very honored and proud that he won," Ruffino said. "We're pleased with his service to the company, as well as to his customers."
