NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Jack White and his band the Raconteurs called on Ricky Skaggs to help them record a bluegrass-inspired version of their song "Old Enough."
The Nashville-based rock band also brought in country singer Ashley Monroe for the track, which originally appeared on their album "Consolers Of the Lonely."
The new version will be released as a single exclusively through Amazon.com beginning Tuesday before going to other digital retailers and to stores next week.
Raconteurs drummer Patrick Keeler says the group wanted to show a different side of their music and work with a couple of Nashville artists they respect.
Skaggs is a 13-time Grammy winner who's had a successful career in country and bluegrass. Monroe has written songs for Norah Jones, Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler.
