'Tis the day after Christmas, and all through the Brazos Valley, some of us are snoring like Tin Pan Alley.
Many pickups and Mustangs and their undergrads, have all driven home to their moms and dads; they'll be back here next month, so don't be sad, after telling their parents their grades weren't too bad.
We now get a long weekend, our money's all spent; though some are still working to help pay the rent. Convenience store workers like Wise Men from East; police and firefighters stand guard as we feast.
Of the 12 days of Christmas, today is the second; don't toss out your tree, it still can be fecund. Epiphany's the end of the season of Christmas; that's Jan. 6 in each town and isthmus.
That's when Magi will come bringing gifts to the King, though we know he won't need such presents and bling. They'll ride into town on their camel named Bevo; we Aggies all love it, every homie and emo.
So pass the tamales and praise Jesus Christ; he's come now and will at the end, and that's twice.
Our Lord comes for Anderson, Bedias, and Caldwell, to let them know with God's mercy all is well. Navasota, Iola, Calvert and Hearne; North Zulch and all places where bonfire doth burn.
They grow up so fast, just ask Mary and Joe; with Him in the end to salvation we'll go. Meanwhile, here's the cry that makes us all glad: "Happy Christmas to all, and Feliz Navidad!"
