Religion notes

Saturday

* The creative women's ministry of North View Baptist Church will hold a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall at the church, 1809 Tabor Road in Bryan.

Sunday

* New Direction Worship Center, 1104 E. Martin Luther King Jr. St. in Bryan, will hold a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Timothy Chenault of Greenville. For more information, call 204-4955 or visit www.ndwconline.com.

* Christ United Methodist Church, 4201 Texas 6 in College Station, will hold services at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m. The Rev. Jerry House Jr. will continue the sermon series "The Gospel of John." Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30. Child care is available at all three services and Sunday school. The church will also hold a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Annex building. * First United Methodist Church, 506 E. 28th St. in Bryan, will hold worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. with the Rev. Matt Idom preaching on 1 Corinthians 12:12-13. The adult confirmation class will be confirmed during worship. Sunday school classes meet at 9:45 a.m. A soup luncheon will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Carry-out service is also available. * Faith United Church, UCC worships at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan. Sunday study begins at 9:15 a.m., with fellowship at 10 and worship at 10:30. Guests are welcome.

Tuesday

* St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 906 George Bush Drive in College Station, will host the Texas A&M Small Ensembles Concert featuring chamber winds, trumpet ensemble, string quartet, trombone choir, piano trio and a brass quintet.

Thursday

* St. Thomas Episcopal Church will be holding Thanksgiving Day Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m.

Thursdays

* St. Thomas Episcopal Church in College Station will host the American Guild of Organists Recitals during Advent on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m.

Nov. 29

* Christ United Methodist Church, 4201 Texas 6 in College Station, will hold a Hanging of the Greens service at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary. The service will feature all the choirs of the church.

Dec. 4

* Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1007 Krenek Tap Road in College Station, will host its fourth Living Nativity and Petting Zoo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event will feature a live camel, a petting zoo and a telling of the story of Christmas. The church is across from the Central Park athletic fields. Activities will take place concurrently with the "Christmas in the Park" festivities at Central Park.
