Restaurant Monitor

The Restaurant Monitor is a weekly listing of scores for restaurants inspected by the Brazos County Health Department.

Inspection scores are on a 100-point scale. Generally, scores below 80 might cause the department to schedule a follow-up visit. Scores in the 60s and below would cause the department to consider closing an establishment temporarily for health reasons.

The following is a list of inspections from Dec. 22 to 30.

BRYAN

Brazos County Juvenile Detention, 1904 Texas 21 -- 90. Hand-wash facilities without soap and/or towels; food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils not cleaned/sanitized/good repair; unsound condition.

Farm Patch Butcher Shop, 3517 S. College Ave. -- 86. Toxic items improperly labeled/stored/used; lack of good hygienic practices (eating/drinking/smoking/other); evidence of rodents/other animals; unsound condition.

Longhorn Tavern Steakhouse, 1900 E. Texas 21 -- 96. Lack of good hygienic practices (eating/drinking/smoking/other).

Taqueria Regiomontana, 21015 S. College Ave. -- 100.

COLLEGE STATION

Alfred T. Hornback's, 120 Walton Drive -- 87. Hand-wash facilities without soap and/or towels; food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils not cleaned/sanitized/good repair; posting of consumer advisories (Heimlich/raw); water -- unapproved source/sufficient capacity/lack of hot/cold.

Carino's Italian #35, 620 Harvey Road -- 81. Hot-hold temperature violation(s) (135 F); unsound condition; food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils not cleaned/sanitized/good repair; hand-wash facilities without soap and/or towels; unapproved systems (hazard control plans).

Chicken Express, 710 Earl Rudder Freeway -- 97. Toxic items improperly labeled/stored/used.

Dickeys Barbeque Pit, 2297 Earl Rudder Freeway -- 93. Food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils not cleaned/sanitized/good repair; lack of good hygienic practices (eating/drinking/smoking/other).

Donald's Donut, 1800 Harvey Mitchell Parkway -- 89. Lack of good hygienic practices (eating/drinking/smoking/other); toxic items improperly labeled/stored/used; unapproved systems (hazard control plans).

Fish Daddy's, 1611 University Drive -- 88. Toxic items improperly labeled/stored/used; water -- unapproved source/sufficient capacity/lack of hot/cold; cold-hold temperature violation(s) (41 F/45 F).

Margarita Rocks, 1601 Texas Ave. -- 96. Water -- unapproved source/sufficient capacity/lack of hot/cold.

P.O.E.T.S. Billiards, 1637 Texas Ave. -- 100.

Red Lobster, 1200 University Drive -- 100.

Texas World Speedway, 17529 S. Texas 6 -- 96. Unapproved systems (hazard control plans).
