I hope you have made it by the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum to see our newest exhibit, The Culture of Wine. It is simply stunning.
Throughout the exhibit, every section is a learning experience emphasizing how a good winemaker combines techniques and processes he can control with what Mother Nature provides in a growing season to produce distinctive wines. The Culture of Wine also explores the historical timeline of viticulture.
In conjunction with the exhibit, the museum has scheduled a variety of events. On Nov. 19, we welcome celebrated author John Hailman, who will discuss his book Thomas Jefferson on Wine. Following the presentation, Hailman will autograph copies of the book.
In December, the museum hosts the first of four fabulous Winemaker Weekends. Seating for these events is limited, so reservations are a must.
The weekends feature a full day of education and wine-tasting. Each of the events will be centered around a different region, starting in December with Spanish wines.
Join us Dec. 5 to find out why Spanish wines are quickly taking their place on the wine lists of some of the finest restaurants and cellars in the world. Come out just for the seminars or immerse yourself in an entire day of tasty and palette-pleasing fun.
Our special guests include Master Sommelier Doug Frost, Maximilian Riedel of Riedel Crystal and vintners Vincent Friend of Coleccion International del Vino and Jesus Martinez Bujanda of Bodegas Valdemar.
The evening culminates with a private showing of The Culture of Wine exhibit and the exclusive Winemaker's Dinner.
In addition to the events centered around The Culture of Wine, the library and museum will once again host the Holidays in the Rotunda event.
Come gather 'round the tree for food, fun and entertainment as we celebrate the Christmas holiday season. Ornament-making, refreshments and performers will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 12.
Also in December, photographer and author E. Joe Deering will give a colorful presentation on his new book, Lovin' That Lone Star Flag.
In his Issue Forum on Dec. 1, starting at 7 p.m., he will talk about his journey through Texas photographing the unique and special ways that Texans display the state flag. Books will be available at the museum store for the book-signing following the talk.

As you can see, the winter events are really firing up at the Bush Library and Museum, and we hope to see you all soon!
