Annual Texas Reds festival starts today

More than 25,000 people are expected to converge on downtown Bryan this weekend for the Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival.

The third annual event begins Friday and will run from 6 to 10:30 p.m., with performances by Midnight Express and the Big Otis Show Band on the main stage.

The festival continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. with vendors, a steak cook-off, a grape stomp and 20 wineries from across the state. Children's activities include storytelling, cow milking, a zip line, a petting zoo, laser tag and more.

Saturday's entertainers are Earl Thomas Conley, Robert Earl Keen, Grupo Laredo, Kathy Ross and the Texas Twisters.

Admission, parking and entertainment are free, but ticket packages must be purchased for the activities.

For parking information, a schedule of events, directions, ticket prices and other details, go to www.texasredsfestival.com.

Comment Title:
Using KBTX's Live Eye Camera for Downtown it looks like not much going on downtown at 7:15 p.m. Friday Nite. Going to be curious what Conlee & Co. tell us about attendance.
