Autopsy confirms man's drowning

An autopsy has confirmed that a Rockdale man found dead in June drowned, the Milam County Sheriff's Office said.

The body of 68-year-old James Richards was found in a pond June 6 by friends and family members a day after he was reported missing, police said.

Richards had been fishing alone before he went missing, police said.

The drowning has been ruled an accident, officials said.
