Biogas plant to open at Mustang Creek

Post Oak Resources Conservation and Development Area Inc. is hosting a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Mustang Creek Biogas Plant at noon Friday in Leon County.

The ceremony, which is three miles north of the intersection of Interstate 45 and OSR, will include a barbecue. Todd Staples, Texas agriculture commissioner, will attend.

The new facility, which will produce energy and regenerate soil from waste products, is scheduled to begin operations in December.
