The Blinn College Board of Trustees on Tuesday signed off on a plan to keep student tuition and fees steady for the upcoming 2008-09 school year.
In-district students -- those from Washington County -- will continue to pay $35 per semester credit hour, according to Gena Parsons, spokeswoman for Blinn College's Bryan campus. Out-of-district students will pay $64 per semester credit hour.
The trustees met Tuesday night in the Administration Building on Blinn College's main campus in Brenham. The panel voted unanimously to keep the tuition and fees at the 2007-08 rate.
International students and those from other states will pay $140 per semester credit hour, Parsons said. She said the general fee also would remain steady at $28 per semester credit hour.
The general fee has not been increased in several years, but the board of trustees has raised tuition each of the past three years, Parsons said. The last increase came in 2007 when the panel approved a $5 across-the-board increase that bumped up the costs to their current rates.
