A 58-year-old Bryan man remained jailed late Tuesday after police said they found cocaine, heroin and almost $800 in cash in his residence.
Aureliano Carpio was charged with manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance of more than four grams and less than 200 grams, as well as possession of a controlled substance, both state jail felonies, punishable by up to two years in a state jail facility.
Texas A&M University police, along with the Brazos County Special Investigation Unit, searched Carpio's house after they secured a search warrant for the home off Monterrey Street in Bryan late Monday. Inside, police said, they found 5.9 grams of cocaine in two separate plastic bags inside a dog treat box in a kitchen cabinet and .94 grams of heroin in the freezer.
Police said they also found almost $600 in Carpio's pocket and another $170 in a rolled-up jacket in his closet. Post-it notes with narcotics prices lined the kitchen, police said, leading them to believe Carpio was selling the drugs.
Bail was set at $150,000.
