Bryan police and fire hosting blood drive today

Bryan police and firefighters are competing to see who can get the most donations from the public at a blood drive at City Hall today.

The Guns and Hoses blood drive held by the Blood Center of the Brazos Valley will be at the basement training room at City Hall, 300 South Texas Ave., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors need to tell officials whether they're donating in support of the Bryan Fire Department or Bryan Police Department.

Bryan Officer Jon Agnew said the chief and other members of the losing department will wash one emergency vehicle belonging to the other department on Friday.
