Bryan seeks input on grant money use

-- Eagle Staff Report

The city of Bryan is looking for community input on how to spend federal grant money aimed at increasing opportunities for low- to moderate-income families.

A meeting for residents to comment on how the city proposes to use Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership Program funds is set for 6 p.m. Monday in the basement of City Hall, 300 S. Texas Ave.

The city receives around $1.4 million in the grant funding each year.

Residents can also submit comments through July 31 by calling 209-5175 or sending letters to 405 W. 28th St., P.O. Box 1000, Bryan, Texas 77805.

Comment Title:
Why not start on one side of Bryan and repair items that are necessary in their homes and also repair items that would use less energy. AC units, hotwater heaters, new faucets, commodes, etc. Each year you spend the money on the same kind of work and over a period of time hopefully all will be repaired .
