Cards for veterans, soldiers are sought

Eagle Staff Report

The Episcopal Student Center of Texas A&M University, along with the Corps of Cadets and the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is encouraging the community to send cards to veterans and soldiers for the holidays.

On Monday and Tuesday at Cafe Canterbury, residents are invited to sign about 200 cards for various veterans in the community. Computers also will be set up for those who would like to send e-cards to soldiers stationed oversees.

The sessions are from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. both nights, and hot beverages will be served at no cost.

For more information, call 693-4245.
