The lights are on at Central Park as the city of College Station celebrates Christmas in the Park through the holidays.
More than 500,000 Christmas lights will be visible at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park from 6 to 11 p.m. through Jan. 2.
Holiday celebration events include live entertainment, cookies, hot cocoa, hayrides, a campfire and Santa from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and again Dec. 12 and 13.
On Friday, PGM Choir, South Knoll Kids Klub, Shelley's Cloggers, Expressions Dance, Rock Prairie Kids Klub and Aggie Fitness Dance will perform. On Saturday, Suzanne's School of Dance, the Rudder High Rangerettes and the BCS Junior Drill Team will take the stage.
Shelli Kruger's School of Dance, Expressions Dance and the Franklin Lionettes will perform Dec. 12, and there will be family relay races and reindeer games activities. Entertainment on Dec. 13 includes St. Joseph's Drill Team, MCM Dance Studio and a Howliday Pet Parade.
Admission to the park and all activities is free.
Central Park is at 1000 Krenek Tap Road off Texas 6.
