Cooking school is planned for Sept. 14

The annual Taste of Home Cooking School is set for Sept. 14 at the Brazos County Expo.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with the show beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The event features on-stage preparation of recipes, with culinary tips and techniques.

Attendees will receive a goody bag that includes a recipe book, coupons and product samples, and door prizes include a KitchenAid mixer, a Frigidaire under-the-counter wine cooler, a recliner from Ashley Furniture HomeStore and more.

Local merchants will have items on display, and there will be live music by Chris Austin Martinez.

The event is hosted by The Eagle, and sponsors include Atkinson Toyota, Celebrity Spa & Boutique, H-E-B and Factory Builder Stores.

Tickets are $11 and are available at H-E-B on Villa Maria Road in Bryan, Celebrity Spa in College Station, Heartworks in College Station, the Brazos County Expo in Bryan, Slovacek Sausage Co. in Snook and at The Eagle and theeagle.com.
