Doctor accused of forging prescription
Goen
A College Station doctor was in jail Saturday, accused of forging a hydrocodone prescription at an area pharmacy.
Officials from the Brazos County Special Investigations Unit arrested Tracy Harrison Goen on Friday after pharmacy employees became suspicious of the prescription he had presented to them.
The prescription was written on a prescription pad of another doctor, who told pharmacy workers that he had not prescribed the medicine, authorities said.
Goen, 47, admitted forging the hydrocodone prescription and told an investigator that he was addicted to the painkiller, officials said.
During a search of Goen's vehicle, officers said, they found several vials of urine, additional forged prescriptions and prescription pads from other doctors.
Goen was charged with fraudulent possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years behind bars.
He was being held in the Brazos County Jail in lieu of $7,000 bail Saturday.
Goen is listed as a physician practicing at Brazos Valley Urgent Care in College Station.
Officials said an investigation continued and more arrests were possible. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 361-0235.

The Good life in College Station! Stealing from the city coffers, prescription drug abuse by your DOCTORS, and running over bikers. Wow, Jamie you have some city there. I would keep out of Bryan too.

This is no big deal as it has been happening for years and years. College Station could not survive without drugs, alcohol, and TAMU.

Comment Title: Get real
A real investigatin to doctor doping would put the local medical society in an uproar. If the nurses could talk without penalty, the numbers would be incredible.

I completely realize this is a pissing contest as you say it. It's quite obvious that not much thought goes in to the comments. While they can be funny at times, more often than not the comments are damaging to our community and to the people you ( by you I don't mean you exactly, but "you" the people who make the comments in general)comment about. A public formun is just not the place to put others down at the expense of real people.

Comment Title: Rediculous
This article isn't telling the full story. Dr. Goen, hang in there. Sometimes good people make mistakes. I worked with you for a long time and I know you are a great person. I know you are a kind hearted healer, you just stumbled into hard times in your private life. It happens to ALL OF US and NO ONE has the right to judge you unless they themselves can say they have NEVER made mistakes. We support you Dr. Goen. Get better and come back. You are an important man in, litteraly, many countries. PS: To the guy down below who is commenting about Dr. Goen treating you mom in the ER, that wasn't him, he's not the only Dr. Goen in this town We are praying for you Dr. Goen

Who takes anything said in the comment section seriously? If you read them regularly you know it is mostly a pissing contest to see who can be the most offensive towards other city. Also, if you read regularly you will note the College Station side seems to be a little dim witted and consequently repetitious. As to the Doc, get some kind of help to break the addiction as we need good medical personnel as well as good citizens involved in the community. Cheers to all, and I wish it would rain. :-)

Comment Title: be considerate
As much as one is angered by this situation remember that people have families. The negative comments are not helping anybody. Not Dr. Goen or his family, patients etc. The CS by Bryan stuff is an absolute waste of time. If both sides of this negative energy were put to better our community "Brazos Valley" (not who hates each other more) we would all be living in a better place. Appatently those of you throwing out so much hatred have no idea how much he and his family have done for people in general. All people, yourselves included, can be a victim to this. You probably just don't have a high profile job. This is not ab out protecting him, its about being human! Offer him help, not hate.

Aaaaaaaha - College Station - nothing has changed and nothing will. Drugs, alcohol, wife swapping - The only thing good about College Station is the area it surrounds - TAMU.

Comment Title: why this one?
Since he admitted to being addicted, it could be that he has been in this pharmacy several times before and was recognized as a recent customer. And, it could just be the House look.

I love reading about the way they live in College Station. I am no longer shocked by the way they act; however, I am surprised at the notoriety this supposed upper crust is receiving - Urso, Romei, Dohrman, and now Goen.

Comment Title: Continuing the investigation, more arrests possible???
What other arrests could be possible. Could this behavior been occurring at this pharmacy for some time, but with another pharmacist or clerk handling the prescription. Could this College Station doctor be prescribing this drug to patients in return for some of the pills? Surely this involves only this College Station doctor and no others.

How unfortunate for this individual to succumb to one of the two evils so prevalent in College Station (The other being Alcoholism). Due to the ever increasing population, College Station can ill afford to lose medical personnel, especially Urgent Care personnel. Addiction can be overcome, but it takes tremendous will power.
