Hope pregnancy doesn't support abortion, they try to help you decide on other options. I've been there for pregnancy tests and they always give you information on other options than abortion. Hope pregnancy and Planned Parenthood run along the lines...they don't come out and say "Get an abortion!" They have many other options..and honestly, I'm glad that we have places such as planned parenthood and hope pregnancy for teens and young adults to go when they think/are in over their heads!

I wonder if I can stand outside their fundraiser with my picket signs? No, Amanda, my daughters will not be using the Hope Pregnancy facilityever. They were taught responsibility first. They know about birth control and the services availible to them with our doctor or Planned Parenthood. My 18 year old chose abstinence through intelligent choices, not some moral bs.My younger daughter chose the same. If you want me to buy that life begins at conception, then give me a tax credit for my miscarriages.

Comment Title: To Baren
Baren how can you speak so ignorantly to someone you dont know? MY 11 year old son is half african american so therefore your racist remark was totally unwarranted. How do you know what I have or have not done to help the less fortunate? Where in my post was I being judgmental? There is no comparison between abortion and the death penalty, however I do not support the death penalty either. What I do believe is that Jesus forgave me for my sins and offered me grace and I extend the same to you.

Comment Title: PRO LIFE UNTIL BORN
Seems that many are "pro life" only until a child is born. Then, if a parent needs help with nutrition, education, or medical they are unwilling to assist. Then, when later that child makes it to "death row" these same "pro-lifers" are all too willing to turn their backs while the state kills.

RJ, unless you have faced abortion and been on death row, you can not possibly judge how you would feel. Your thoughts are pure speculation and yes, judgemental.

Comment Title: Not our place
It is not our place to judge. All we can do is live our lives the best we can and do what we think is best at each given decision. It may not be what we think is best later but it is what we think is best at the time. It is impossible to ask more of yourself than that. Telling others what to do and guessing their judgement does not get you anywhere .

Well baren, the difference between abortion and the death penalty is because of the HUGE difference in the position in society between the two. An aborted fetus never saw the light of day, never saw love, let alone felt it. It never got to read Shakespeare, or hear Sinatra, along with a thousand other things. The person on death row has had that chance given to them and they squandered it on criminal activity. Even the aborted fetus never got the chance to do that. A death row inmate more than likely took life and is guilty and has lived some in this world. A fetus is a life taken that hasn't even gotten the chance to know, let alone, do right or wrong in this world. And I know this all too well, b/c my mother was faced with this decision. My grandfather did not like my father and pressured her to abort me. She said no b/c she loved me and wanted me to live. For those who say a woman has any right to do what she wants with her body, I ask this: who are YOU to deny anyone the right to live? She made a choice and i live. I live in this throwaway society, but I live none the less. Abortion is wrong, no matter how you break it. It is theologically wrong b/c you are playing god with the fetus and by evolution is wrong, b/c you are killing off the continuation of the human species, and denying the chance for development. I really hope and pray you will never abort and if you say no, when you see your child, you will know why and be glad you said no. For those who have and regret it, know this: Christ is in the redemption business.

amanda you're ridiculous, why don't you give that woman who is sleeping on the floor at the bridge some help instead of spewing your hate! you made the choice to have an abortion, and you made that choice for a reason, you knew you couldn't deal with having a child at that time. maybe you should adopt, there are many children out there in need of a good home. most of them are african american children who need a good parent, hope you're not a racist too. if a woman decides to have an abortion it is her choice and none of your business. please take in some foster children and stop complaining, i'm tired of you amanda

Amanda asks that you not judge but at the same time is very judgemental. In general no one knows what they woukld do in an ethical situation unless it happens to them. All others who go and blow are just speculating what they would do.

As a woman who has not only used the services offered by Hope Pregnancy Center but has also been a volunteer I can tell you they are there to help those in need. Had it not been for the PACE program offered by Hope I would have committed suicide because of the overwhelming guilt and shame I felt from MURDERING my child. I was not met with Judgement or Condemnation, but with love and acceptance. Unless you have had an abortion yourself you can not tell someone else that it non-harmful, a solution to a problem or a quick fix, because it is none of those things. Before you spew your ignorance on the subject make sure you have the facts. And most importantly if you dont like what they do then dont support them, but dont place blame where blame shouldnt be placed. Remember, your children or grandchildren very well could be the next ones going to Hope for free pregnancy testing or Post Abortion Counseling.

i hope some of that money is going to go to the women who currently sleep on the floor of the Bridge WOMEN WITH CHILDREN who don't have a place to live. where is hope pregnancy then? who is pushing this agenda, a woman has every right to do what she wants with her body. i hope the same ppl who stand in front of plan parenthood also stand and pray for the ppl on death row. because murder is murder. tx prisons kill 3 to 4 ppl a week, but for some reason that's ok.

Comment Title: Hope to get the word out!
Planned parenthood should be called Planned Murderhood. It was founded by a racist woman with an agenda to kill babies from minorities and the poor. Hope Pregnancy Center offers loving support for all women and men to help them deal with the challenges of pregnancy. I am not associated with either group but find the thought of Planned Parenthood teaching young girls to use birth control and get an abortion when it fails, fails all of us. They will not be there when she wants to have children but can not, due to damage caused by an abortion or a sexually transmitted disease. Free birth control to young girls only allows them to have a false sense of security and carries a heavy cost later on in life both physically and mentally. I am in my 30's (male) and meet way too many people who can not have children. Planned Murderhood helps youth destroy their health and soul today and murders the babies they will want to adopt when they can not have their own tommorow! What a plan. My appologies to Hope for putting this under the news of their function. The idiot that posted prior just set me off, they obviously do not understand that many people want to support HopePC at $20 per ticket and some want to give so much more, after all this is a "FUND Raiser".

Comment Title: OR JUST DONATE TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD
If you don't care to give $500. to attend a reception with Huckabee, you can always make a donation, of any amount, to Planned Parenthood.
