Man charged with online solicitation

A 51-year-old Dallas man has been charged with online solicitation of a minor after College Station police said he had a sexually explicit conversation with what he thought was a 13-year-old girl.

Police said Glenn Almack contacted an investigator posing as a girl in December, and online conversations quickly turned to sex.

Almack was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of online solicitation of a minor.

He was being held in the Dallas County Jail on Wednesday on $90,000 bail.

Online solicitation of a minor is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years behind bars and a $10,000 fine.

It is the second such arrest this week from the College Station Police Department operation. On Monday, Ryan Towery, 19, of Bryan was arrested on the same charges.

Yep, a cheap shot by The Buzzard. This rag could not be specific and had to republish a story on the abuse of a disabled boy, but can reiterate the residence of an earlier arrest. Shoddy reporting. Commenting on this article - Keep up the good work CSPD.

Comment Title: Actually...
I'm not against Bryan, b/c I live there, but the very last sentence got thrown in there, which is probably why the jerk below commented w/BTL. Of course, The Eagle is gonna try & sneak a Bryan case in there somewhere, which has nothing to do with the one in Dallas... ugh!!!
