Bryan's mayor will be trying to maintain a winning streak on Saturday as he competes with the mayor of College Station to raise money for The Salvation Army.
Bryan Mayor Mark Conlee and College Station Mayor Ben White will ring bells in the red-kettle competition from noon to 1 p.m.
White will be in front of the College Station Walmart, and Conlee will be in front of the Bryan Walmart. Both mayors encourage shoppers to donate money to help provide food, clothing, shelter, toys, financial assistance and counseling throughout the year to those in need.
In 2007, Conlee collected more than $3,000, while White raised roughly $1,600. Last year, Conlee raised more than $4,000 and White brought in more than $1,500.
