Museum to offer story time for kids

The Star of the Republic Museum will hold a story time for children ages 3 to 5 on the third Tuesday of each month.

The Texas Tots program will offer crafts and activities that center around Texas history and cultural topics such as Native Americans, wildflowers and tall tales.

The cost for the program is $3 per child, and adults will have to pay the $5 admission fee.

The first Texas Tots session will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 at the museum, which is on F.M. 1155 between Brenham and Navasota.

Residents wishing to participate are encouraged to reserve seats by calling 936-878-2461.
