No suspects ID'd in hit-and-run fatality

Authorities have no suspects in a hit-and-run accident that killed a 32-year-old woman walking on F.M. 109 in Washington County, a Department of Public Safety official said.

Joy Reydel Carlton was pronounced dead at the scene after she was struck by an eastbound vehicle just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, one mile east of Lehmann Lane near the Washington-Austin county line, the DPS official said. She did not know where Carlton lived.

Authorities do not have a description of the vehicle, which continued east on F.M. 109 after the incident, the official said. Carlton's body was taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office for identification.
