A joint meeting of Grimes County local governments and school districts is set for Wednesday in Anderson.

County commissioners, the Iola Incorporation Committee and the cities of Bedias and Navasota and Todd Mission will meet with school board members from Anderson-Shiro, Iola, Navasota and Richards at 7 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 415 Hill St.

The public is welcome.

Each group will report on its activities, and Phil Shackelford, a field representative with the office of U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, will speak.
