Police arrest 2 men on drug charges

A Bryan man who police said was found with 40 fake crack rocks that he planned to sell remained jailed late Monday on multiple charges.

Police said Tederalle Lakeith Satchell, 24, and Billy Dewayne Parnell, 22, were pulled over by police driving on Gainer Street in Bryan on Sunday after the officer recognized Parnell, whom he knew not to have a valid driver's license.

Officials said Satchell had the fake crack rocks and one real crack rock, along with marijuana, stuffed in his pockets.

Both men were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of less than one gram of crack cocaine.

Parnell was being held without bond Monday in Brazos County Jail for driving without a license.

Satchell remained jailed on a separate charge of manufacturing a simulated controlled substance, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in jail.

The smaller city of Bryan clearly has a higher Per capita crime rate then the larger city of CS. No surprise on this.

See KRHD article on new CS plan (Geographical Accountability) program to combat crime in College Station. This plan is similar to Bryan's Neighborhood Enforcement Plan implemented in 2008. With CS leading the Brazos Valley in burglaries during the last three weeks, this plan is welcomed by College Station residents.

Just as demand for cocaine in the US encourages Columbian suppliers to produce more, College Station demand for drugs encourages Bryan's criminal element to be the supplier. If there was no demand (College Station) there would be no need for suppliers (Bryan).

Comment Title: jamie@cs, guess what
there are several drug problems in college station as well, as a matter of fact i moved from bryan to get away from the bad part of town i was living in, just to find out that the little college students in college station seem to think it is ok to just walk around outside and sit on their pourches in broad daylight to do there drugs !! so anywhere you go, there will always be a drug problem!! and its obvious with other stories this week, that there are just crazy hatred people in cs who apparently kill people for no reason other that jealousy! you may be out in a suburb in cs and just dont realize sweetie, but there are a ton of urban areas in college station, most occupied by our beloved texas a&m students, and they are just as bad if not worse than bryan.

It is upsetting to see how Bryan citizens have become corrupted with narcotics, prostitution, and a life of welfare. I was reading about this person called the CS/AM basher from Bryan and how he has claimed to be a lawyer, a doctor, an A&M student, a congressman and millionaire land developer that only buys property in Bryan. For some reason some Bryan residents have let the city decay to such a point that they have become obsessed with College Stations wealth and the poverty that afflicts most Bryan residents today. The fact is we are in one fish bowl and and their side has a sewer leak and are unable to process their trash. I have even read this person claims to be a third generation Bryan resident whose family has been involved in coverups while working at CSPD. One can only hope this pathetic type of lifestyle and activity in Bryan will stop.
