A 50-year-old Bryan woman was arrested after she shot her husband during a confrontation with him and his girlfriend, police said.
Brenda Joyce Neil was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Bryan police said Neil threatened to shoot her husband and his girlfriend late Thursday night during an argument in the 1100 block of Verde Drive. Neil's husband leaped at her in an attempt to prevent her from shooting and was shot in the leg, police said.
The two women then drove him to the hospital, officials said. The man's condition was unknown Friday night.
Neil remained in the Brazos County Jail without bail late Friday.

Comment Title: Missing the point...
This article is nothing but unbelievable. The woman shot her husband when she confronted him and his girlfriend. Hopefully most married men don't have girlfriends, but if a married man does have a girlfriend, it sure would be nice to have one that will help the wife get you to the hospital after an argument.

Comment Title: Say no to drugs.
NBA people: I was looking for a news report on A armed hold up near a business by a trailer park in Bryan last night. Having crime in a different city does not make you safer in Bryan. If it makes you safer having crime in a different city check out London England I hear it's bad.
