Religion notes

St. Francis Episcopal Church, 1101 Rock Prairie Road in College Station, will hold its annual festival and blessing of the animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday

The public is invited to bring pets on leashes or in cages. The festival will have activities for children, search-and-rescue demonstrations, low-cost county licenses, vaccinations, microchipping, animal shelter adoptions, food and a movie.

Faith United Church UCC is now worshiping at The Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan.

Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in Room 102. The Rev. Karl Tewold is pastor.

First United Methodist Church, 506 E. 28th St. in Bryan, will have traditional communion at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday. Sunday school meets at 9:45 a.m.

First Christian Church, 900 S. Ennis in Bryan, will host an all-church picnic at Tiffany Park at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Everyone is invited to enjoy food and fellowship. For more information, call 693-3618.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2201 Earl Rudder Freeway in College Station, is taking orders for Angel Food Ministries, a nonprofit, nondenominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief for all consumers.

Through the program, people may order of food worth $55 to $70 for only $35. Cash, food stamps and money orders are accepted

The next order day is Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the church.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1200 Foxfire Drive in College Station, is hosting its annual Fall Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The festival will feature children's games, train rides, joy jumps, face painting, food and baked goods.

A silent auction and raffle will also be held.
