Recent rainfall has helped reduce the fire danger in the Brazos Valley, prompting county officials to lift or consider lifting restrictions on outdoor burning.
Burleson, Leon, Milam and Robertson counties have lifted their bans.
Madison County has a partial burn ban, only in effect for areas west of Texas 90 and Texas 75 and north of Texas 21.
Grimes County commissioners will meet at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday to discuss lifting the burn ban.
On Friday, Brazos and Washington County commissioners will discuss lifting their burn bans.
Brazos County received more than 4.5 inches of rain from Sept. 9 through Monday, while Burleson County recorded just over than 4.3 inches. Grimes County saw 1.41 inches of rain, while Madison County received 1.25 inches and Washington County got 3.13 inches of rain.
Rainfall totals for Leon, Milam and Robertson counties were not available from the National Weather Service.
