I wish more teenagers felt like you do. Obviously you're learning it somewhere. I'm 42 years old, and tired of paying for uneducated, underaged kids to have more kids. What's sad is that these people are having kids, when they themselves don't have the education and lifestyle they need to responsibly raise a child. I DO blame the media...they're making it so glamorous to have a baby these days...it's like Paris Hilton's pet chihuahua...it's more of a fashion accessory than a human life.

Yeah, but at least if it were in Bryan instead of College Station, it would involve someone having sex at a playground at knifepoint. I have lived in both Bryan and College Station, and I can tell you I never felt safe in Bryan. Gosh, if I were picking a place to have sex in public, it wouldn't be Bryan!

What makes you think these kids WEREN'T taught abstinence? That has been the official policy of both College Station ISD and Bryan ISD for over a decade. If anything, this should demonstrate the futility of abstinence education.

Actually I was born in Texas...but I guess the people in my hometown are just a little classier. Thank you very much for pointing out that they were using a condom as if I couldn't read, but I was trying to make a point in general. I don't have the right to say they shouldn't have sex at all, I guess I just have better morals for myself than that. Well, have fun with those bananas...I'm sure you will.

To the 21 year old talking about abstinence: Open you eyes, these kids were using a condom. Meaning they know a little better than to have unprotected sex. We ALL have sexual urges. You can not blind fold kids and "say suppress your urge". Teach them about it. One of the reasons kids get pregnant now a days is because of people like you who confuse the hell out of these kids when they are learning about life by not properly educating them. You don't want them to learn at school yet you don't want to teach them beyond saying "don't have sex." They aren't idiots and they need to PROPERLY LEARN.

This is ridiculous what this generation of teens has become. I’m 21 years old and I know better than to act that trashy especially in a public place where children play! What bothers me the most is that these teenagers think that they can have sex without consequences…and that isn’t true at all. Every school has programs and health classes about unprotected sex, but what about teaching them not to have sex at all? All these celebrities now get pregnant before getting married and show the world that it’s ok for them to have babies without being married…but the truth is that they do it because they can afford it. When are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt going to get married? Probably never. So how will the children turn out when they break up? How about Jamie Lynn Spears…instead of giving the media excuses like “being a mother is the greatest feeling ever” the issue of her having unprotected sex was never even discussed. This isn’t teaching our younger generations anything because they will do the same as their parents. How hard is it to use a condom?…and birth control is certainly cheaper than raising a baby, but then people assume they can just let Medicaid take care of it. Why should I have to pay to raise other people’s children when I’ve been at work all day instead of having unprotected sex. I’m tired of money being taken out of my paycheck because I’m responsible. When I’m married and ready to have a baby are these people going to help pay for mine? I’m gonna guess no. I don’t think the question should be “why were these young kids having sex in public?”…it should be “why did these kids think they were responsible to have sex at all?”

We found a used condom when we took our children to slide at Bowen Elementary's park. There were several beer cans at the swings and slides. It's becoming dangerous to take our kids anywhere now days.

Even if they DID use a condom, if she had something it would probably still end up on the playground equipment which in return is played on by our children. What these teens done is something that should get them jail time. Yes, I'm not saying that I didn't have sex as a teen, but I kept it in cars or beds when parents weren't home. I mean, a school playground? Are the monkeybars really that sexy?
