Traffic diverted following accident

No one was injured Tuesday when a concrete barrier fell off the back of a truck at the intersection of U.S. 290 West and Texas 36 North in Brenham, officials said.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m., and traffic was detoured for more than an hour, according to Brenham police. Officers said they didn't believe any damage was caused to the vehicle or the road.

Information about the truck and its driver was not immediately available from the Washington County Department of Public Safety office.
