Two juveniles jailed on burglary charges

Eagle Staff Report

Two juveniles were arrested Saturday on charges of burglarizing a vehicle in the Post Oak Mall parking lot after someone witnessed suspicious activity and called College Station police.

Officers were dispatched to the parking lot around 2:30 p.m. after a caller told them two people were sitting inside a car, removed property from that car, then got into another vehicle and drove to another area of the mall parking lot.

Officers located the pair, who are not being identified because of their ages, and were able to determine they had taken a CD/DVD player and a coat from the car.

Both were placed under arrest for burglary of a motor vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Details about bail amounts and whether the two are in jail will not be released.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity is encouraged to call College Station police at 764-3600.
