Women arrested in theft from church
Eagle Staff Report
A 38-year-old Bryan woman who police said stole more than $58,000 from a College Station church was arrested Thursday.
Melissa Suzanne Ramirez was charged with three felony counts of forgery and one felony county of theft of between $20,000 to $100,000.
Officials said Ramirez forged checks between June 2006 and June 2008 while she worked as director of Covenant Presbyterian Church's child care center.
She was released from the College Station Jail on $50,000 bail Thursday afternoon.
Church member and attorney Steven Steele said the church on Rock Prairie Road's child care center has an annual budget of around $300,000.

These comments from College Station residents always make me wonder. You see, thirty years ago, I was quite a rounder. I impregnated more than one young lady, and when the the baby was born, I did what everyone in the area did: I sent my bastards to College Station. So I was just wondering - what are your mother's names?

Comment Title: Bryan Residents have no class, whatever!
This is the reason why Bryan residents have such a hard time trying to make a living because all You cs residents have time to do is bad mouth us. We are hard working citizens just like you and this is all we get, downgrades and whatever you throw in your trash. We deserve some credit , at least we haven't had any murders yet. But keep pushing our buttons and CS will see what Bryan has to offer. We probably work 3 times harder to get maybe half of what we deserve and why? Because CS thinks there better and deserve more. The bible says "He who is without sin, Let them cast the first stone" but CS is too uptight to let the rock fall out of their ass so have fun Bryan and don't let them get you down too much. Keep your heads up and remember, We actually WORK for a living!
