A College Station man was shot twice with a Taser after ignoring the orders of officers investigating a disturbance call, according to police reports.

Brazos County sheriff's deputies were told that a woman was being assaulted in the 15300 block of Faircrest Court early Monday, but the man would not let deputies in the house and refused to cooperate, reports state.

Deputies forced the home's front door open but the man was combative and was shot with a Taser, reports state.

The man ignored deputies' commands to show his hands and submit to restraints, so he was shot with a Taser a second time, according to the police report.

The 31-year-old was charged resisting arrest and assault family violence. He was released from the Brazos County Jail Monday after posting $5,500 bail.
