Two brothers and former Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets band members have been charged with burglarizing Corps dorms while members were at Aggie football games.

Jovan Ashley Martinez, 24, of College Station was arrested Monday and charged with three counts of burglary of a habitation, each a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

bb, I don't buy what you say or what these criminals believe. Does it go on, without a doubt it occurs but regularly I know better. Most young people are not criminally corrupt and I still believe A&M has an even higher standard of people than the norm. These two guys missed the boat and I understand that must be punished but hopefully they can be rehabed and turn into good citizens. Gig 'em.

"An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do."

So much for the Aggie Code of Honor. Cadets regularly break this code, specifically Articles I and III (lie and steal). Cadets also violate Article II (cheat) when they don't want to do the work required to pass a test or complete an assignment, and think they can get away with it. It may be unfair to brand all cadets in this manner, as most do abide by the Code. However, there are far too many who do not for the Code to be meaningful these days. Obviously, these brothers are part of the latter, and they dishonor A&M and the Corps by their willful actions.
