Wizards and witches abound in the Brazos Valley, so pick your favorite tale of Oz - or choose them both. Unity Theatre in Brenham has been in a sprint down the yellow brick road this weekend with seven shows of The Wizard of Oz in four days, the final one today at 4 p.m. The cast and crew produced double shows Thursday, Friday and Saturday and close the musical this afternoon at their 300 Church Street house. This is the Prince Street Players version with some different music than you're used to. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and youth.
Now coming up next weekend, down the road in Navasota, the Navasota Theatre Alliance presents Oz! This is based on the Frank L. Baum classic you know and love, complete with Dorothy, Toto, the Munchkins, a bad witch, a dead witch and a good witch and the scare crow, lion and tinman and the elusive ruby slippers.
