Girls twerked and did the splits as a mob of rowdy teens ransacked a Bryan convenience store Saturday.

It was as 19-year-old store clerk Terry Polsgrove was getting ready to close down for the night that teenagers started trickling into the store. Soon there were 30 to 40 teenagers dancing and acting "crazy" inside the Chevron Food Mart and in the parking lot at the corner of Wiliam J. Bryan and Texas 21, Polsgrove said.

You are right there is a huge difference between College Station ISD and Bryan ISD.TEA needs to look at BISD very carefully this year! [wink]

Taxpayers have the right to voice their own opinions! We are the ones paying for it all and we have to go to work everyday.

The problem does not START in school. It starts at home with a lack of parenting. Teachers and or administration can not do every thing, as hard as we may try. I just got to a point where I was not willing to put up with the "drama" to sub at that level anymore. Parents are the key to this kind of situation.

I worked at Bryan ISD as a teacher for 2 years and discipline does not happen because of the fear of being sued by the parent or guardian. Is that not the fault of the administration? Yes,parents do need to support the teachers but when you have parents that say their kid is being "discriminated" and should be allowed to stay in the classroom no matter how bad the behavior who do you blame??

Blame the schools? Really? The schools didn't raise these animals, their PARENTS raised them to be animals.

This is what the utter failure of the 50 year old "War on Poverty" has brought us. Poverty now is virtually unchanged since then and we've wasted $20 TRILLION dollars that were transferred from hard working Americans to these animals.

This is what the welfare state, the entitlement mentality, has wrought.

As a retired teacher, I can tell you that this event and the actions of these kids is NOT the fault of the school system. It is much deeper than that. Their behavior is exactly why I will not sub in middle school any more. They act like that there as well. It is a "mob mentality" and there is nothing one single teacher can do about it, especially without parental support. I think a good punishment would be a year of community service every Saturday from sun up to sun down, doing something constructive for this community.

The biggest problem here is that these students do what they want at school with no discipline so they think it is ok to act this way in public. "Discrimination" is always the excuse for incidents like this and fights that break out in the schools etc. It is only going to get worse until something is done! It starts with the administration. Just saying.

Watch the video again. Kids that would do something like this are not likely to be humiliated by much of anything.

When will we see a follow up story about this? Who are these thugs? In the interest of public safety, the mug shots and names of every single one of these scum bags needs to be published. This is likely not the first each of these thugs have broken the law, and it's likely not the last.

The public has a right to know who in this community they should be leery of. Publish the names and photos of every single person involved.

Your "joke" is not funny, "snorkl".
I'm extremely concerned about the young people in our community both on the public school and college levels. I'm not familiar with Club Nice's teen night, but this is definitely a black eye for them since these youngsters evidently were at the club previously. There is nothing to point to drug use in this escapade, but drugs are in higher and higher use in our towns. This is deplorable! How can our children not be influenced by their availability? Please, lets do all that we can to support our public servants and officials in battling this scourge.

Thisguy: Don't blame the schools! Teachers are doing the best they can with whatever walks through the door. Some kids are tired, hungry, high, distracted, bullied, results of poor parenting, and apathetic! The teachers want to teach...not counsel, nurse, and "raise" the students. A good teacher wears many hats and I believe most teachers are there to do their best.

This is embarrassing. Its not human behavior this is ANIMAL behavior. I blame schools, bad parenting and social media. I hope these kids all get caught and serve justice to show a example that this is no laughing matter.
