Sporting an Aggie football jersey in honor of 12-12-12, biology teacher Michelle Abney looked up mid-sentence during a lecture to see a group wearing Santa hats come parading into her classroom.
Sandra Davis, Bryan ISD Education Foundation executive director, told the Rudder High School students that a few weeks ago their teacher had applied for a grant. Davis then turned to Abney, handed her a red Christmas stocking and informed her she'd been chosen to receive $2,200 from the foundation to go toward improving the quality of education for her biology students.
