Some of you on here go back far eniugh to understand the character issues facing Mr Raven. It all began to roll when he made some very poor decisions surrounding the recruiting process, his LOI, and his Mother's involvement. Several schools dismissed his interest in their program due some character flaws, among other things. This should be of no surprise and quite frankly is not that big of a deal in the scope of things. Most, if not all, championship caliber programs have these issues. Why ? Because if you are recruiting on the edge and getting the best the nation has to offer in terms of skilled players, the group will contain some percentage of undesireables. A few of us were of the opinion Raven would wind up here and he didn't disappoint. On the other hand, there were a few other "red flag" players who were signed and have gone on to be contributers and otherwise solid citizens. For those of you who have been scholarship athletes, you know the rules are different for you. You are held to a higher standard than the average guy in the student body. So lets dont compare a scholarship football player on a championship caliber team to the kid from Bedias working his way through school and raising a little ruckus on Saturday night. Bottom line: if you ain't recruiting some percentage of trouble, you aint recruiting period.

"aggressively came to his place"? Where does it say that. Seems you cannot read since the article states that the driver of the Tahoe lived in that complex (kbtx also mentions some people in the Tahoe living in that complex) .

If that would be the case why is the Tahoe also damaged?

Whenever a football player is involved some people will always look for excuses

that's exactly why you see so many "pro" sports players in and out of trouble, because they always get a pass because of their value to the team.
It happens on the high school level too.

Stupid bar fight. Boy fight. The Tahoe people aggressively came to his place of residence, hoping the continue the fight. He needed his butt kicked. I love how the aggressor gets whupped and then cries foul and runs to the police.

OK, so the football players instigated a fight at a bar. Left said bar when the fight was broken up and went to their own apartment, which just happened to be where the other two guys lived. Other 2 guys get out of the Tahoe and are jumped by 10-12 other guys (maybe other football players?) who then beat them up and kicked the sh*t out of their car. One of the attackers stated "I'm gonna finish what I started" or words to that effect.

Sounds to me like they are guilty of assault and battery and Sumlin might need to see who else is involved from the team, if anyone, because when he gets them the "Get Out Of Jail Free Card" he may need to have 12 instead of just 2.

No worries, aggies. Your boys will play. Probably won't even miss a game. 'cause that's the aggie way!

apparently you cannot read. It says the driver (of the Tahoe) lives in the complex. The article also states that Everett was going to "finish what they started at the bar".

I guess different rules apply for football players right?

Why is everyone getting onto the athletes? It was broke up at the bar. Those guys in the Tahoe came looking to for Everett and Raven. They got whipped and now they are crying sour grapes. Let it go people. The athletes went home. The other guys came looking for it.

Seems to me, they went to THEIR place looking for the fight. They got their asses handed to them now, they want to file charges. I see nothing happening here.

More "Born Again Bible Thumpers" posting, this is not a big deal, it happens at all schools with all students, not just with Football Players. If we were talking about Coaches having Sex with players, Coaches caught drunk with a DUI, or Players beating up girlfriends then it is a problem

Your team got caught cheating, put on probation, and your Coach "Bailed" . All minor, no big deal, not like Coach was drunk, coaches having sex with Students, or Players beating up women.

Coach Sumlin, time to write another letter to the police and administration to get these guys off the hook...the one you wrote for Johnny Football worked, so why not try again. That is the Aggie way, you do the crime, but don't pay the time. Or, just get the players reinstated and the cases deferred until after the season, then they are expendable...bet the story on the A&M website about one of the players from a couple of weeks ago will now disappear....

I agree. At A&M the athletic football scholarship comes with a "get out of jail free" care. Shoot, what is $500 worth of damage to an automobile caused by a temper tantrum compared the multimillion dollar coaches salary.

Not to worry kids. The coach and alumni are on the way. You will be cleared in no time. If they suspend you, just threaten to transfer...they will hook you right up.
