Police still seeking information on man who impersonated officer, assaulted woman

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office continues to search for a man who sexually assaulted a woman while impersonating a police officer.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Jim Stewart said the office has received some potential leads from callers. He said an officer on Monday will personally take DNA evidence to the Department of Public Safety in Austin to help expedite the process. In the meantime, officers are reviewing surveillance tapes that might have captured the suspect's vehicle.
